At WORRKS, our Division 6 team delivers commercial rough carpentry services that form the structural backbone of every commercial project. From structural wood framing and blocking and backing to temporary bracing and safety rail installation, we provide the foundational work that keeps commercial builds moving forward on schedule.

Our rough carpentry framing crews work from layout through final inspection, installing code-compliant assemblies that meet structural specifications and support every trade that follows. While we do not fabricate millwork in-house, our team is an experienced commercial millwork installation contractor—handling the placement, fastening, and alignment of prefabricated millwork components to match design intent and project specifications. We work closely with general contractors, project managers, and project teams to keep work sequenced and builds on track.

Commercial Rough Carpentry Services

  • Structural Framing, Blocking & Backing: We install wood framing, blocking, and backing as required by structural drawings and specifications. Our commercial framing contractor teams work across new construction and renovation projects, ensuring framing assemblies meet load requirements and provide reliable support for finishes, fixtures, and mechanical systems.
  • Temporary Bracing & Safety Rail Installation: We install temporary bracing systems to stabilize structural elements during construction, and fabricate and install safety rails and guardrails that comply with OSHA and project safety plans. Temporary protection is maintained throughout the construction sequence.
  • Temporary Enclosures for Site Safety & Logistics: We engineer and fabricate temporary enclosures to protect occupied or adjacent areas during construction, support phased construction schedules, and maintain site logistics. Enclosures are built to project requirements and weather conditions.
  • Commercial Millwork Installation: Our team installs prefabricated and custom millwork components, including casework, paneling, and trim. As a commercial millwork installation contractor, we coordinate with fabricators and project teams to ensure millwork arrives on schedule, is stored properly, and is installed to specification and design intent.

Project Scope: The Klaus Family Tree House at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden was rebuilt to include an adventure trail, forest floor room, canopy room, and cloud tower. Designed for inclusivity, it features a wheelchair-accessible ramp. Built in phases without design drawings, the project required adaptability and custom components.
